Pretty neato. I might rope handle all my cast net buckets!

Maybe move this to Tips/Tricks/Techniques.

Also - the handle in the bucket comes out pretty easy without cutting if you know how they're put in. It has a dogleg on the end and you kind of twist it a little to pop it out.

Re: Taxidermist...RD retiring

There is a RD mount at Big Fish Outfitters and I'm way not impressed with it. It's got many issues like discoloration in the face (brown stains), delamination of the fins, and the fish is just way too fat to look like it came out of a river. I have not seen a good striper skin mount in a long time a...

It's not really a bait tank topic John, that's why I took it down. Might get better traction on a more general fishing site.

Hey John! Great addition to the forum. Show us some fish. You can post reports in the Lake Stripersoup section without revealing your location.

Re: Taxidermist...RD retiring

This was my 53 lber. My main complaint was it ended up too silvery like an ocean striper. But the artwork on it is like nothing I've ever seen. Very beautifully done and not delaminating or discoloring at all.

Hey John, glad to see you here! I had my replica made at a place in Canada. It is beautiful and much more durable than a skin mount. http://www.advancedtaxidermy.com/index.php

Re: Taking it on the road.....

Good stuff for sure! Mike W. has a heck of a set up for the awards ceremony. We fished hard (my hands tell me so), and were lucky enough to get a couple of good sized fish and outclass the field. It was a great atmosphere and Big Fish Outfitters is the perfect place to hang out, be surrounded by ton...

Re: Chesapeake Bay, MD - 5/23/17

Pretty cool stuff. Need some info about the area and water conditions to make it a report. I don't know if you saw my post on FB but I was asking what the forage base was for those fish. We can teach that guy how to hold his rod too if he wants to learn. That was very bassy looking.

30 SBT New Pump and Dannco $400

An older, minorly modified SBT came to the shop today and needs a new home. Tank has filter box but no scale catcher. Functions perfectly.

Few questions from a first timer: -Is this an event where someone can learn some new water or is it more about drinking beer/partying for 3 days? With an 11 month old at the house I'm more about the fishing than I am the beer drinking/partying now days since my fishing time is so limited. -For thos...

We have our food guy! Not sure if any of you guys know Patrick Miller, but he's a competition grillmaster dude who fishes the S. River chain. Very good point on the lighting. I have a pretty big 24v led flood light that can be plugged into my boat, just need a place to hang it up high. It's about as bright as a street light. If anybody could commit to a pole-work light if they have it that would be pretty clutch.

It was windier here on Sunday under blue skies that it was here during the storm. Hurricanes just can't get to us in the hills up north. We needed the rainfall and got about 4 inches in 2 days.. Looks like back to normal beautiful fall weather for the foreseeable future.

It's just wobbling away down there. The biggest threat to us is tornadoes. I don't think the hurricane will have much punch left by the time it gets here.
