Re: Tricked Dannvo LV-8

Much simpler, good hack for sure.

I restarted my tank about a month ago...and messed around making a homemade venturi. Slid a small pipe into a short section of garden hose and squeezed two tubes through small holes in front of it. It's ugly but works well enough...so far.

Cold water piranha. When I was a kid the trout hatchery in PA handed out rabbit pellets, they'd eat right out of your hand in the pools. We'd throw pellets in the streams too and they'd frenzy on top to eat. But I feed mine the pond pellets too like Roland suggested.

Re: Jigging 101

Thanks for the repost, Tyler. I tried this several times now and other than a spoon, it is the only jig setup that's worked for me on Allatoona. I've not seen much to drop to though lately

Re: Low Water Load

Very Cool, that's gotta help a ton in the river when they are generating and keeps the feet dry!! I broke a side marker pole this year fighting the current even with the trailer back in on an angle.
I was thinking about a trailer extender but this looks like a better idea, thanks.

Re: SSTG Hotel Info

For any stragglers (like me) that have yet to confirm and looking for rooms, I just spoke with Paul at Terrace View Marina and he still has rooms. I have no idea what to expect as far as quality but it's on the water and doesn't look too far from JT's place. I'll know tomorrow if I'll be able to go...

That helmut will serve you well in Dec. And I like the convenience of light and shad tank switches on the chest plate...but I'd add a hook for the ipilot remote

Re: Need help BIG TIME for a good friend!!!

What a great experience, I truly feel blessed to have been a part of it, thank you for inviting me! It was a tough day but Hank my new 87 year young friend managed to hook a cat to keep the skunk off the boat.... I don't care where he hooked it, it counts. David, it was great to meet you, sir. Welcome, Jeremy! Look forward to seeing you on the sea...it's not so dead these days.
You will find that your knowledge base and ability to catch some pretty large fish will come directly from both the information AND contacts you acquire from this site.

I stopped by Saturday and saw it - Great job on the rigging and I really like the nonskid deck, top notch all the way!
Troller ran at 3.0 mph with these. Can pull Urigs silently!
For some reason I doubt that you'll be taking advantage of that benefit.

Re: Soupified Kodiak KA-26

I'm not sure about the distance between the filter and wall, seems it would be a trap, especially for medium and larger?? If the filter tower were in the middle and the tank had a lid on each end bait could swim all the way around without restriction, access from both sides and maybe save some scale...

Re: How much do you fish?

I try to get out 1-2 times per week for a few hours - helps having two boat ramps within a mile. I've been a little obsessed these last two years to figure out bait and fish patterns so not all that time is spent fishing. My wife and I will probably being have kids in the next year or so, so things ...
