hey shawn, i was thinking... could you bring a 12' cast net to the troup group? the biggest i've thrown is my 8 foot cracker. i'd like to see if i could pancake a 12 footer! it'd be fun to see who could throw it the best and maybe learn a few techniques too!

I believe I've got a set up that will catch them when they're hard to find and or get to bite, plus it's tough as nails & won't break, tangle free, yet is also a finess style rig capable of catching multiple fish and probably best of all; easy to use!... We'll see? interesting, love new ideas! i ho...

i will definitely be there with boat in tow! gonna try to get the wife to come. i'll get her to make some brownies or something sweet. i've got a small boat, but if she doesn't come i'll have room for one extra person.

also, i hook my shad through the top lip, in between the nostrils. don't go too far back or you'll hit their brain and kill them. i don't hook their mouths closed either, i run the hook in their mouth and up so to not disrupt their breathing too much. i usually don't drop shad until i see fish on th...

shad are pretty sensitive compared to most other baits. they need good aeration. most of us have super expensive insulated bait tanks that filter, aerate, and circulate the water. a minnow bucket simply won't do it with out enough flow. the best thing for you to do is probably rig up a little aerate...

if ya read enough posts on here you'll start to feel like you know some of these guys personally. this really is the best striper place you can be, the guys on here are a top-notch, elite group of fishermen! 8-)
