Re: DNR SURVEY ON LIVE BAIT IN THE HOOCH

They are talking about the survey on the NGTO forum where many of the fly fishermen post. We definitely need to get the word out and have as many as possible vote in favor of live bait. I find it ironic that they keep saying on there that the live bait guys are gut hooking and killing fish..yada ya...

Re: DNR SURVEY ON LIVE BAIT IN THE HOOCH

The river was up to 75 today below Morgan falls before generation. The park service needs to make the designated trout water stop at Roswell rd. I agree. No need to even have a delayed harvest. By May 14th most trout are eaten or dead anyway. It is nice they stock 50,000 trout to help sustain the s...

Re: DNR SURVEY ON LIVE BAIT IN THE HOOCH

Howdy All, I spoke to Patrick at the DNR today regarding who got the survey and who didn't. Anyone can respond to the survey even if you didn't get it in a email so please do. They were trying to get a count of those who STRONGLY SUPPORT USING LIVE BAIT in that section of the Chattahoochee from Morg...

It was a super trip.....Best ever. All I can remember is saying "Its ur turn dude as the rod bent and line went off the spool". "Aww I'm throwing this Jack rig" he replied so it was off to the races. BTW anyone ever heard this guy sing Merle Haggard songs before? Don't go if your not in the mood to ...

Re: Live bait at hooch

As per the CNP website - "Since the Chattahoochee River is a designated trout stream from Buford Dam to the mouth of Peachtree Creek, including Bull Sluice Lake, special trout regulations apply. The use of live bait-fish in the river is prohibited within the park. Seining the river for bait-fish is ...

John,

I agree with you on this one.

If anything changes it will more than likely get worse at the MF DAM.

Re: Live bait at hooch

Heres the latest MF DAM-IT Hotline There are days there when it looks like a Boarder Patrol Crossing on the Rio Grande with no Boarder agents. Lets see Tires getting slashed - Cars broken into and this is just the start of it between the bank fishermen having conflicts. Then the bank fishermen compl...

Glad to be here -

Dirk, I really like river fishing - north of Atlanta or south.

When these rivers go down we might get a chance to fish. :D
