Re: Boat crash

Not much to tell. From what I heard they collided in the "S" turns on the north end of Lake Allatoona. Flipping one bass boat and sinking the other. The "S: turns are very narrow at full pool and this was during the lake draw down ,so much closer. One was said to be idling and the outer running wide...

Hope neither boat that crashed this afternoon on Lake Allatoona was not any Soupers. Hate to hear about any boating accidents especially when lives are lost. Not much information at this time. Just know from the video's is it happened around Little River at the "S" turns.

I am going to be moving in the spring to Canton above River Stone, and was wondering what are the best ramps on that side of the lake? And are any ramps open in the winter? Thanks for any help. Used to being able to put in at Victory and Kellogg when I lived in Woodstock.

Just don't take them off if you get water in them and hen put them back on. Your hands will not warm them up until they dry out. Also the easiest way to net your bait on cold days is to stop by the soup. Hands stay dry and warm, until you bait the hook up. Just saying :bounce:

Re: Shad Stocking: New PB Threadfin toss

Sounds like a very good load. I know you wish every trip would be like that. At one point I thought you were going to say you hauled in a lot of stripes on that heavy cast.

That's cool. Have not gotten a turkey yet with a shotgun much less a bow. Congratulations.

Re: Presentation on striper migrations

Thanks Bob for explaining how to find current. Will have to see if my Lowrance can find it. Does it make any difference on the depth of the water?

Re: Presentation on striper migrations

Thanks Bob you make great points also. But how do you set up a depth finder to show under water current. I have not heard of that before. Thanks again for the info. And yes it does make you wont to load up and hit the water.

Welcome to the soup. I bet those stripers and hybrid that size give you a good ride also. You will get a lot of great information here on everything striper fishing, I know I have and still learning.

Haven't really thought about that. I guess that's when you reel in to check your bait when you should leave it a little longer.
