Apparently they don't care about conservation as much as they think they do if they're going to be so closed minded about it. I can see not wanting a big mess on their site about it, but they asked for it.

That's without a doubt the best bait tank design I've seen. I've been waiting for someone to incorporate an intake in the center of the tank - I've only seen that on one tank ever - the Baker bait tanks but it was just an intake pipe vs the entire filter stack.

Re: Where is the promised land?

Not Virginia! Go to NC! We have some decent fishing but nothing big really. 20lbs bout all you can hope for. I can't even hardly catch a 20 to be honest. 14-18s all day every day. I'd shit over a 30. The Chesapeake Bay fish and fish that run up the James are pretty monsterly but it's a seasonal thin...

Re: Volume One

That would be my guess too. I think Tim lived up around there. However, I think there was a big striper kill on Boone similar to what happened on Norris. I don't know if the area is a trophy spot like it may have been back when that video was made. From what I hear from guys here that fish there, n...

Re: Winds?

Fish every chance you get and forget about the wind, unless it's a hurricanado! There is absolutely no rule on any given body of water about where the fish will relate in certain winds. Other factors such as generation, seasonal bait movements, moon phase etc...will have more effect on fish than wi...

Re: Jigging 101

Heck, you're not taking away from my post! I'll jig anything that catches fish! I saw mwards flitter bait back in the fall and remember commenting that it would be a "bad-to-the-bone" jigging lure. I just forgot about it. I'm poor, but I need to get some soon to try. Seems you could fish it a lot of...

What happens if it weighs 51 lbs? Sorry - you lose...... Just curious - how many 50 lbers come out of Lanier - or when is the last time one did? Really don;t have any idea - I know some good fish come out of there..... I remember the lake record being caught a few years ago..40 some lbs.

They were there last spring Mward..forgot you didn't fish. I can generally find the big hammers in the spring. Fall it's harder to get the 10"+.

Ever catch too many big shad..

Just saw this old video I had. It took all I had to get that thing up along side the boat. Think I tied it off on my rail. I couldn't even begin to pull it up in the boat. I doubt it was 300-400 gizzards like I said but I bet it weighed close to that in pounds! 1/4 of the net was under the boat. The...

Re: January 2013

Thanks. I'll test out the TOS floats again and report back sometime in March or April. I hope they can handle 12" shad. Doubt I'll fish much the rest of the month as SML is real muddy and I need to get ready for spring. Time to get the shad tank up n running!

I'd like to have video of that day you put your $60k rig on plane at the watch tower upriver with the lake 4ft down. I was looking over at stumps and boulders 4" under the surface. Tie it onto the split ring on the top of the spoon. Don't normally use a hook on the spoon, but I guess you could.
