Sucka Soup

Post by Vaughn Traywick » February 11th, 2018, 7:23 pm

Hit my bait spot this morning to load up for the next few trips. Hoping one gets me in the 40# club. These suckers can't be beat for trophy season in Alabama.

Those look like good bait! What are the handling requirements of those vs, say, shad?

I keep a stronger current in the tank than I do with shad. The rest is pretty much the same. I keep some shad mixed. They’re really tough and can take a few hook piercings along the way.

Nice. I wish I knew of a place close by where there is some good access I know where a bazillion or so are, but it would be a long hike back to the truck.
