Water Wolf Stripers

Post by David Powell » June 19th, 2015, 4:34 pm

Water wolf camera, I guess the best way to describe it is mind blowing. I think the mind blowing comes to the person that made the video though. When I go back and review the clips I know when, where, and what I think is going on from the fishermen's perspective. The mind blowing part is that what I think is happening is wrong a lot. Times when I thought fish might be around it was nothing. Times when I think there is nothing going on, all kinds of stuff is going on. I have a lot of really cool footage all ready but getting edited, loaded, and published is slow going. When reviewing the clips on my computer they are very clear but some how got a little washed out going to you tube. I'm sure its user error on that.

Reviews on the camera: Its bad ass! Very simple and easy to use. However the 2nd striper that actually got the bait broke it. May not be made for 30lb+ stripers.

31lb striper

The second video the hook pulled. The line did not break.

It's crazy how you can hear the pop underwater. It does sound like a break.

I agree and I thought that was what happened when I was fighting the fish. I was trying to baby it as much as I could since there is not much stretch on 3 ft of line but the hook just pulled.

The first few seconds are a little bouncy but it gets better. Don't know why the sound did not come through.

Great videos!

In the last one they are just skylarkin around...
Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure... than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat.
