***OFFICIAL*** SSTG 2016 FOOD

Post by Shawn McNew » September 27th, 2016, 8:57 am

Let's use this post to hash out what food we are going to break out this year. We usually end up eating like pigs with plenty left over.

It's no big deal if nobody steps up for the food deal. We can do pizzas and hamburgers or hot dogs and put more emphasis on chilling out. Looking forward to it no matter what and hope everybody decides to show up Saturday for the hangout!

I will throw a couple butts on the smoker for one night. I'm 90% sure I can make it I am waiting on a final schedule for some concrete pours but they should be a couple days after that weekend.

Marie is baking a cake.

Sean, she could make cookies too, but I think your girl friend made some the last two years, and I don't know if we need both. If she isn't making any this year, let me know and I'll ask Marie to make some.

After some minor manipulation and begging I am going to be able to make it. I will be headed up Friday late as usual. I can bring some smoked pork butts since it looks like there is not a lot of meat on the food page. I have counted +/-27 on the RSVP's is this correct? Would 2 large butts be enough?

Bring those big juicy butts and get there in time for dinner Friday! I think Roland can handle the potato salad. We will make everything work.

I've got 17lbs of butts in the smoker. Were gonna need buns and sauce. I think the potato buns or onion rolls compliment the meat best but really whatever will work. There should be enough for Friday night and some on Saturday as well.
