Hours fished: 8:00am-12:30pm
Weather: 50's rising to 80, light winds, full sun
Water: clear, 69-71
Bait: Mostly gizzards, couple of golden shiners, couple large alewife
Techniques: Put fresh (alive) shad in BA, then take shad out of BA, put on hook, then pull shad around at various depths on down lines and down boards

Got the skunk out pretty quick, then continued to catch scattered fish here and there over one long troll down the lake. Caught and released nine fish for the day with one pulled hook. Only the shad produced bites. No love for the alewife or golden shiners. Biggest fish was 11 pounds, 4 in the 6-7 pound range, and the rest were little peckerheads. Overall, just a great day to be out there.

Nice fish, sounds like a good day on the water. Not to go too far off topic but, remind me what kind of boat you have?

Nice job Will!
Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure... than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat.
