We Lost Russ Edwards

Post by Shawn McNew » May 1st, 2016, 9:52 pm

Today I was made aware that one of our members, Russ Edwards, took his own life yesterday. Russ has been on the forum for many years, some of you may remember him as "petdoc" from the old Soup. He lived in Milledgeville and owned a nice veterinary clinic there. He leaves wife and two children. I was extremely saddened by this horrible news since Russ always seemed like a happy guy whenever I saw him on Sinclair. He never had anything bad to say and always helped anybody whenever he could. Why does it seem like we're losing too many good people? Let's send hope to his family and good vibes in this horrible time. RIP Russ, rip.

We never know what's going on with folks - a kind word or action sometimes can mean more than we might know.....

That is very sad. I've lost what seems to me to be a disproportionate number of my old friends to suicide.

Thoughts and prayers for his family while they go through this difficult time.

Terrible news
Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure... than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat.

I can't believe it. I never met him but always seemed upbeat and was very helpful when it came to Lake Sinclair. I definitely feel bad for his family and friends and I will miss his posts.
