Allatoona Monster

Post by Derek Clegg » March 27th, 2013, 6:44 pm

Thought this fish was notable enough to post. This fish was caught the first week of Jan this year. She hit a downlined small trout on a bass setup spooled with 8lb test to top it off, my buddy beat me to the rod but after chasing this beast with the trolling motor a country mile around the lake we pulled her into the boat snapped a few pics and sent her on her way. Did I mention this was Allatoona I'll let you guys figure out the creek mouth. Didn,t have any scales in the boat but comparing it to other weighed fish I would guess around 30lb.

That's a nice one. Maybe it will be to long until there are plenty of big ones like before the drought that killed most of them a few years ago.

Thats a pig for anywhere and the biggest Toona fish I have seen in a long time. Looks like it is in great shape too with no sores or anything. Congrats on the awesome Stripe, especially on light tackle and thanks for the release. AWESOME...
