That's pretty effin cool Shawn!

Shawn - are you sure this article is about you?
... fingers were frozen in the shape of a claw gripped with the ache of another cramp. It hurt worse than the blisters and tiny bleeding cuts on his fingers because the 40 degree water had numbed his skin. The muscles would eventually relax so he could continue. They had too, although he had thrown the 10 foot cast-net more than 400 times in the past eight hours he still needed more shad
Sounds like a lot of belly-aching to be coming from you ;)

I know you welcome the warmer water more than anyone.......

Have you tried 9 mil nitrile gloves in the winter? Best gloves I've found in the cold weather with full functionality to live bait.

Mike Ward, that was total embellishment and inaccurate. I never told him my hands cramped up or that I threw the net 400 times in 8 hours. I think he extrapolated (exaggerated) lots of that info. Most of the rest of the article is pretty good. You're right, I don't belly ache like that.

You know I'm just messing. I figured there was a bit of dramatization literary license being applied there :)

The first paragraph is way fluffy, not at all fact. Guess they are trying to sell more magazines. Whatever. My hands never cramped (not yet), and I don't think I or anybody else for that matter ever threw a 10' net 400 times in 480 minutes. If I have to throw a net that big that many times, I'm not in the right spot. I did throw my 8 footer about 200 times yesterday with only a few short breaks, but that's an 8 footer...big difference from a 10! No blisters either. Got a couple of "rope callouses" but that's about it. The rest is pretty good like the quotes and stuff. I actually did say that.

If anyone could throw the 10 footer every minute and twelve seconds for eight hours it would be the Shadman! Cool article hope it brings you some good business :flag:
