42 pounder landed on WB - rumor or not??

Post by Jason Burnette » January 3rd, 2018, 8:36 am

Talking to some crappy/bass guys on WB over the weekend and they were telling us about a 42 pounder a buddy of theirs landed in the back of one of the creeks a week ago on a A-Rig. Can anyone confirm this? Seen any photos?

I can not confirm but it is very likely this time of year to catch some fat & full belly 40+ pound fish on WB. As the pre spawn eggs fill out with a full belly a 40 pound fish will sometimes not make the 40 inch mark. There are often exaggerated claims.

My guess was it was a nice fish, but an exaggeration. Just wanted to know if it had been confirmed by any of you fella's in the know.
